About
About
The Court House is a premier volleyball training facility committed to developing athletes at every stage of their journey. We provide a structured, high-performance environment where players can build fundamental skills, refine advanced techniques, and grow both on and off the court. Our approach combines expert coaching, purposeful training, and a culture rooted in discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
At the core of our philosophy is a structured, athlete-centered approach to training. We combine technical skill development, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning to ensure players grow in a well-rounded and sustainable way. Each program is thoughtfully designed to meet athletes where they are, while challenging them to reach the next level through consistent progression and expert coaching.
Beyond skill-building, The Court House offers meaningful competitive opportunities that allow athletes to apply what they learn in real-game scenarios. From in-house scrimmages to high-level tournaments, we emphasize performance under pressure, teamwork, and strategic thinking—key elements that define successful players.
Our Mission
The Court House was built with one mission in mind: to create opportunities for athletes to grow, compete, and succeed. Through our programs, we have helped over 200 athletes access the game, with many continuing on to play at the next level. We believe in building not just better athletes, but stronger individuals through discipline, accountability, and teamwork.
This is more than a facility — it’s a community.

Meet the Founder
Cody Chernoff is the Founder and Director of The Court House and the Owner/Director of South St. Pete Volleyball Club (Storm). With nearly a decade of coaching and leadership experience, Cody has dedicated his career to developing athletes both on and off the court while creating opportunities for players of all backgrounds to succeed.
As the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Largo High School, Cody helped lead the program to one of the most successful seasons in school history, earning a District Championship, a Regional Semifinal appearance, and setting multiple school records. Throughout his coaching career, he has helped numerous athletes continue their volleyball careers at the collegiate level while building a reputation for honest coaching, player development, and a family-first culture.
In 2020, Cody founded South St. Pete Volleyball Club with a vision of making high-level volleyball training accessible to every athlete, regardless of financial circumstances. Since its inception, the program has provided scholarships to hundreds of athletes and has become one of the fastest-growing volleyball clubs in the Tampa Bay area.
That same vision inspired the creation of The Court House.
The Court House was built to be more than just a sports facility—it is a home for athletes who are committed to improving every time they step onto the court. Whether it's volleyball training, strength and performance, leagues, clinics, camps, or community events, every program is designed with one goal in mind: helping athletes reach their highest potential in an environment built on integrity, accountability, and genuine care.
Cody believes great coaching extends beyond teaching skills. It is about building confidence, developing character, creating meaningful relationships, and preparing young athletes for success in life. His mission is to ensure every athlete who walks through The Court House leaves stronger, more confident, and better prepared than when they arrived.
